I have been able to disable the "Next" button until audio stops playing with instructions found here in the Heroes forum, but users can still avoid listening by clicking another item in the menu. Is there a way to apply the same kind of variable to menu items as there is to the "Next" button?
Thanks, Michael, but those options automatically apply to every slide. There are slides my client doesn't care whether people skip over and others where they want employees to hear the complete audio. I need to control this on a slide-by-slide basis, if possible.
The information that Michael shared above is for the menu, but would still be applicable if you are restricting navigation within your course as you would not want the learner to be able to skip and navigate away via the menu when you have a slide restricted.
The player works together and you would need to set your specific limitations on the slide navigation.
Leslie, I have already taken the steps to disable the NEXT button until the audio completes on the slides where we want people to hear the audio. They are still able to skip ahead by using the menu. On the menu we don't want all the slides to have this condition -- only specific ones.

Have you tried to set the menu navigation to Restricted as described here?

Here's how to temporarily disable or hide player navigation buttons until learners have finished interacting with a slide.

Hi Shel!
You will not be able to do this from the player menu.
