Disappointed with Storyline

My company purchased Storyline and I was initially excited about the product. Our courses are very simulation heavy and I'm very underwhelmed with the product. I've found a variety of software bugs and the software has poor memory management locking up when a file becomes too large. Storyline is a good product for basic eLearning but it is not a powerful tool. In hindsight I would have chosen a different piece of software. I'm back to my previous process now of making my simulations in Captivate as Storyline can't handle them. Maybe Storyline 2 will be better... Anyone else have these issues?

Can't say I've experienced the same problems you've seen. What kinds of bugs are you running into? As for locking up when the file gets too large, how large?
Sims are Captivate's sweet spot. We use both SL and Captivate and have had plenty of recent problems with Captivate. One nasty problem with files not completing save, others locking up on some machines. So it could well be a configuration or installation issue, as we've seen Captivate operate without problems as well on some machines.
Consider engaging support to see if they can help to hunt down or confirm the issues you're having.

This thread basically covers my issue and shows it's a common one as well. File size is 1 GB and above. Storyline slows to a halt and starts locking up for me around this size. I have other developers working on other machines with the same issue. I've actually had to change work process due to this and Storyline simply holds my shell now.
