I have a wierd problem while trying to edit my E-learnings - whenever I put an element on the slide - I can not see it, or edit it. The wierd thing is - I can see the element on the timeline, and in the slide preview on the left.

Has anyone noticed that before? Is there a way to fix this?
What happens if you click on the screen? Does SL give you the big red cross?
I had a similar-ish issue a while back, it was intermittent and support and I were at our wit's end, we couldn't figure out what was going on. It only affected a few files, on SL 2, so I didn't stress too much about it.
Anyway, over time and eventually, I figured out it was happening to files where for some reason the fonts used in those files were not correctly installed on my system. Once I reinstalled the fonts, problem disappeared.
I can't really tell from your screenshot whether it's the same issue, but would be worth checking your fonts.
