Distorted audio?

Dec 17, 2015

When I preview my course, the audio in some of the slides is choppy and distorted.  It repeats itself in parts, like a broken record.  However, when I click on the waves and listen to it from the audio editor, it sounds normal.  It's choppy even after I publish it.  I'm using Storyline 1 and am working from my local drive.  I recorded the audio directly into Storyline.  Does anyone have a fix for this?

Hi, Amanda -- So sorry to hear you are having difficulties, and may I ask: are you seeing the same behavior when you test your published output in the intended environment, as well? You may also want to run through these steps on unexpected or erratic behavior in SL1, and let us know if the repair process suggested shows improvement for you.

Please also note: Storyline supports a wide range of audio file formats (AAC, AIF, AIFF, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA), but not all codecs and bitrates are supported. We recommend converting your audio files to 16 bit 44 KHZ PCM WAV for best results.
