Documenting a project

Apr 06, 2016

It would be useful to be able to export project contents into a table format, similar to a flow chart, to provide project documentation.  The closest I can get to exporting the required data is to save the project as a Word document and then between Word and Excel, create a table of slide titles.  (however this doesn't provide slide links, URL's or file links).  Then laboriously create a 'flow chart' for each scene and manually enter all of your links.

Point 1 - But.... I (and others) have previously reported the problem of overlapping slides in Story View.  Very difficult to identify slide details while in Story view to be able to record the slide links in my documentation.  Exporting and re-importing sometimes clears the problem but you lose any links you had.

Point 2 - Being able to re-index (renumber) the slides, or lock the slide numbers, would allow the user to have greater control over a project and related documentation.

Apologies for venting frustrations but these points have been raised as forum items by many in the past but we don't see them being addressed.

Hi, Doug -- Thank you so much for reaching out here and for detailing the functionality you would like see made available in a future release. Unfortunately, while I don't have any new information to share, I did want to pass along this form by which you can contact our Product team directly.

Please note that ideas and suggestions are absolutely valued and are carefully considered by our Product Development team, and you may find it useful to take a look at this blog post on our Feature Request Process by Product Operations Manager, Gabe Anderson for further detail.
