Can you FTP to your site? I'm not familiar with hostgator, but most webhosting services lets you FTP to your directory or has a built in FTP manager. If you want it to be your homepage, rename the story.html file to index.html.
Thanks for the help Jersen. I tried to link to an FTP server and I think trying to get my file onto my website is too complicated for me...I will just have to use Dropbox....I know it works there
