Hello, I've just found a curious possible side effect of cropping?
I was playing with having a guide in a circle & I want her expression to change on being clicked. This worked fine before cropping her, but afterward it didn't. I've included a non-cropped character just for reassurance and he changes expression fine. Any thoughts?
I've just given this a try and seem to be having the same problem!
If I insert a button and set the trigger to change the characters expression when the user clicks the button then that works fine, but nothing happens when the trigger says change expression when user clicks character.....hmmm!
Thanks Mahesh, but I did realize that as mentioned in my post "This worked fine before cropping her, but afterward it didn't. I've included a non-cropped character just for reassurance and he changes expression fine." Its the cropping/ changing shape that breaks it, hence why I think its a bug needing submitting?
It seems like it might be bugged. When I removed the 'confused' state from the cropped character and recreated it - it started to work as you wanted it to
Hi, Steven - Thanks for sharing the file. It seems that cropping the image is not the issue. Once you change the shape in the format tab, this creates the state from changing. I will file this with our QA team for review. If you do need a circle image to appear, you could place a shape above the character.
Thanks Christie, I seem to be having more issues with changing states!
In the file attached here, I want the horizontal bar to change colour on mouse over. It doesn't work initially, then it does, then the Normal darker horizontal bar disappears completely!
Is this because my 'button' is made up of an image and a shape?
I did get it working with hotspots triggering instead of the object itself but I have many of these so wanted to avoid adding to my workload.
I wanted to avoid bringing them in as one png so that i can resize the horizontal bar to suit the background holder that will be in later.
I think I've fixed it, it seems it 'breaks' it when you add elements (i.e. the horizontal shapes) in editing states? so keeping the cloud separate from the bar works but obviously then i have to add more triggers, oh well!
Hi, Steven -- Thank you for the update, and although I am unable to provide an exact timeframe, any news or updates I receive from our QA team will be shared here in the thread.
Hi, Steven -- Please excuse the oversight, and thank you for the clarification. I can see the issue you are referring to in the file. One workaround would be to keep the items separate, and add a trigger to the cloud to change the horizontal bar to the Hover color. Please see the attached file.

Hi Steven Croft
If the female character doesn't have picture shape, then it works fine.
Tried it now with a variable change on click, still doesn't work. Also now the image state's thumbnails don't reflect the true expression! Bug?

Hi, Steven -- Would you be able to share your file here so that we can take a closer look, please?
Morning Christie, its attached. Thanks.

Thanks Christopher, and then if you tweak the cropping again does it break it again?
Thanks for providing your file, Steven; we'll check it out and be in touch shortly!

hmm now the darker blue bar is acting as the hover state!

Apologies Christine, I didn't make it clear that the hover_error.story today is a different file, but similar state error.
