Dollars and Cents

Gurus all:

I am creating an assessment that requires money calculations. It is a branching scenario that only provides feedback every 5 steps and ultimate consequences at the end of the assessment.

Finally got that all mapped out but in the branches, the slide should only advance if the correct dollars and cents are entered in the numeric value control. Can the $xx.xx be entered in a trigger? If so, what is the configuration and control?
