"Done" & "Not Done Yet" button?
Mar 25, 2014
Hi! I've placed a "main menu" button in my course and I changed the state of another button (on the main menu page) to read "Done" once the learner has actually finished the section but there's nothing to prevent them from selecting "main menu" and seeing that "Done" button even if they've not finished...
I'm torn between removing the button where I'd rather they don't use it or inserting a condition (hopefully my train of thought is correct) that displays a "Not Done Yet" button...Anyone out there have any ideas? My way seems somewhat clunky. A condition would seem a lot slicker.
Thanks in advance - Velicia

Can you use a true/false variable that will change to true on the final slide of the section? Then put a trigger on the 'Done' button to appear when the section complete variable is true.
I think that would work although I'm not that great at variables yet...Thanks Matthew!
Hi Velicia,
There is a tutorial here on using variables, and I think most community members would say they take a bit of practice, but it's all logic based and important to keep in mind the order in which triggers are fired. If you're still having difficulty you may want to share your Storylie file here and we'll be able to look at your set up and offer advice.
