Double Clicking in "Test Mode Steps" Doesn't Work on iPhone

Feb 13, 2015

I inserted a series of screen recordings in my Storyline 2 project, as "Test Mode Steps". Now I am testing that they work. They work on my desktop, however I have a problem when I test them on my iPhone: whenever the answer involves DOUBLE clicking, it is not recognizing that I've done anything. Instead, when I click "Submit", I get the message, "You must complete the question before submitting". It does not matter where I am clicking, I get that message. (I am using the trial version of Articulate Online to publish them.)

The questions that involve a single click seem to work fine on my iPhone.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Bridget,

I was able to access the course - but can you share what the correct answer would be for those slides? Otherwise, I'm likely to get it wrong and not see how the double click is/isn't working. Also, they're not labelled as 1.4 or 1.8 in the slide menu, so if you could share their actual slide title names that would help ensure I'm on the correct slide.

Screen 1.4 is the 4th screen in the tutorial, and the 3rd screen that is titled, "Quiz-Front Panel". The correct answer is to double click anywhere in the first row in the list.

Screen 1.8 is the 8th screen in the tutorial, and the 3rd screen that is titled, "Quiz-Attached Devices". The correct answer is to double click this item in the menu tree:  201-UP-(1/1)

(I wonder why you and Wendy hadsome difficulty opening my Articulate Online project...)

Hi Bridget,

Thanks for sharing that here - by snippet, I just meant a few representative slides.

Looking at what you shared, it doesn't show that it's using the double click as a trigger? I changed that on the first slide and published to my Articulate Online account here. Can you take a look at that version and let me know how it behaves for you?

Possibly - I only updated the first slide's trigger so that would be the only one I'd expect to work. If that one is working as expected, you'll want to relook at your original file to see if it's set up as a trigger when the user clicks or double clicks. Also, it's also a good reminder to ensure you're working locally as described here.
