I am wondering if it would be possible to make disappear the scheme (the ‘Unified Dark’ one in the picture attached) surrounding my slide so that I can only see my picture. I have been trying to modify the slide’s size even though I usually work with 855px width and 430px height, but that does not make disappear the scheme.
Concluding, is there any option to do what I am trying?
I have been trying what you have recommended me and I am sorry to disturb you again… Well, modifying the transparency of the scheme I have been able to ‘erase’ the scheme. The thing is that I am struggling now with the background (the blue one in the picture attached). I mean, the same is happening again: my image does not fulfil my own ‘scheme’ (sorry, I do not know what is the appropriate word in this case, I mean the black thing surrounding the picture) because it recognizes the image and the background as just one picture.
So, my question is: is it possible to make it disappear? My point is, if I just change the colour my problem is still there (I have already tried) and if I change the size of the picture, the same happens. I would need it to disappear so that the picture I am working with fulfils my ‘scheme’ (the black one, the one I usually work with).
If I understand correctly, I think this will do what you need.
In the player properties window, click Colors & Effects and then Show advanced color editing.
In the Edit item drop down menu, hover your mouse over Base and then select Main Background. Change the transparency to 100%.
In the Edit item drop down menu, hover your mouse over Base and then select Main Border. Change the transparency to 100%.
In the Edit item drop down menu, hover your mouse over Base and then select Slide Background. Change the transparency to 100%.
Click the Save Button located in the row of buttons next to the color scheme name to name and save your new color scheme. This will let you choose it in future projects without having to make all of these selections each time.
What you said is what I did in order to make the scheme disappear, and it was perfect. So I thought I had solved the problem. However, when I ‘publish’ (export) it — or just it even if I just preview it— it appears the background and I cannot make it disappear. So, when I try to use what I have published, the image will not adapt to the size I usually work with because of the background.
What I am trying to say is: the size of the picture I eventually export includes the background and, as a consequence, the picture I have been editing is slightly smaller than I need.
I am not sure if I am explaining myself utterly. Let me know if I am not clear enough, please.
hard to say what's happening without seeing - can you share your file? Just click the grey 'add attachment' button at the bottom of the post to upload and someone will try and help you.
I have already tried that before. The problem is when I want to see that image with my own frame: as you can see in the picture attached, it appears again the white border... In this way, I would need to completely remove it so that my slide adjusts to my black frame.
Both Owen and Wendy have been so kind and nice trying to help me out! Unfortunately, despite their efforts and patience, I could not achieve what I wanted. To this extent, I was wondering if you please could have a look at the discussion and just let me know if what I am trying to do with the background ―completely erase it― is possible.
Once again, thank you all very much for your time!
A few more questions. How are you loading the background image? Is this the slide background or are you modifying the html page background? If it is the html page, you might be seeing a slide background still even though you've set the player to transparent.
Try this in addition to the player changes you have made:
In the slide view where you edit slide content (not the player properties window) RIGHT CLICK on the slide and choose Format Background in the pop up menu.
On the Fill Tab, set the transparency to 100%.
If you don't want to do this for every slide, perform these steps on your slide master. Publish and see if this resolved the issue.
Thank you very much! What you said it’s been pretty helpful! Most of the time it’ll be enough, so I kind of have sorted out my background’s problem.
Let me clear myself a little bit more, my hosting has a predetermined size (855px width and 430px height) so if I want a slide with different images and videos, what you have recommended is perfect.
The problem is when I want to work with just an image or a video full-sized (filling all the screen, 855px width and 430px height) because it appears the player’s background (or maybe it’s, as you have already said, the html page background) which I cannot make disappear. Consequently, my image or video won’t adjust.
Concluding, since you have said that I will be seeing a slide background still even though I’ve set the player to transparent when it’s the html page, I just should assume that I can’t modify that and I will see my full-screen videos with a frame, right?
Again, thank you very much for your patience and your time!
I believe the answer is yes. Even if you make the frame transparent, it will still be there and videos will play inside of the frame and not fill the full browser window.

Click the "Mostrare edicion avanzada del color" button and you will see where you can control the color schemes of specific elements of the player.
Looks like Owen has popped in to help you out here Nerea.
I just wanted to welcome you to E-Learning Heroes :)

Let me know if this accomplishes what you need.

Hi Nerea
hard to say what's happening without seeing - can you share your file? Just click the grey 'add attachment' button at the bottom of the post to upload and someone will try and help you.
Hi Wendy!
Yes, of course. There you go!
What you can see in the picture is:
So, as you can see, if I can’t make the blue background disappear, my picture (the red one) won’t adjust to my black frame.
I hope that's a bit clearer now, if not, let me know, please!
Thanks for your time!
Have a nice day,

Hi Nerea
can you share the Storyline source file - or just that slide. I want to look at what settings you have

Yes, sure!
Thanks Wendy!
Hi Nerea
so in this screenshot what do you want to remove? There is no inner blue showing or do you not want the green border?
Yes, that green border is what I'd like to remove. I know how to change its colour but I don't know how to remove it (or if it that's even possible).
Is this what you want?
I changed the page background from green to white
If that's not what you want perhaps this will help you

I have already tried that before. The problem is when I want to see that image with my own frame: as you can see in the picture attached, it appears again the white border... In this way, I would need to completely remove it so that my slide adjusts to my black frame.
