Downloaded Storyline templates will not open

Hello, I am new to Articulate Storyline and on the education path. I have Storyline 2 and using it on a mac with Parallels/Windows 7.
I would like to download some interesting templates/play with them, get to know how they work, tried this previously and they opened without issue, however when I clicked on IMPORT now nothing will import.. It just shows me the file, which allows me to open up the contents of the file, then click on the next file to open/look at contents etc.
I was cleaning up my macbook air the other day and deleting unnecessary files, and I deleted a windows file which i thought was superfluous to my mac (don`t know what it was), but now wondering if that might be related. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Euan,
Are you trying to import in a .story file or a .storytemplate file? Those files should work with Storyline 2 (as long as they were created in Storyline 2 or earlier).
You may also want to take a look at the steps here for working with templates.
If you're still having a hard time, could you let me know what template it is and I'll take a look? The link or URL would be helpful too. 🙂
