Hi Dave! Looks like Brett has you covered here, but our information is below:
Articulate Storyline requires Microsoft Windows to be configured with 96 DPI (dots per inch). If Windows is using a different DPI setting, you may experience erratic behavior, such as:
* Elements of the application are misplaced or distorted.
* Objects are misplaced or distorted when previewed or published.
* Zoomed images don't work as expected.
* Font sizes are incorrect after using the translation features.
I've tried multiple times to make the adjustment to 96 dpi on Windows 10 without any success. My SL2 continues to appear EXTREMELY small (almost to the point where I can barely make out the text) regardless of any changes I make. Doesn't seem to matter what I do, SL2 is virtually useless because of the change in screen resolution. I never had this issue before upgrading to Windows 10. Is it a Windows 10 issue or SL2 issue? I need a fix, quick. I've examined other posts/threads regarding this issue and nothing seems to work.
Is there a solution to this for a PC? I just purchased a new laptop and am having the same issue (extremely small display). I tried changing to 96 dpi but it actually made it worse.
Can you let me know if a solution has been found? Thanks.
Hi Janet! So sorry you are experiencing this difficulty. This is on the radar of our QA Team:
You may find that user interface elements in Articulate Storyline are small and difficult to read on high resolution monitors—generally, monitors that display more than 2,000 pixels in width. We're working to improve performance on HD monitors. In the meantime, you may need to reduce your screen resolution while working in Storyline.
Be sure to pop back in and let us know if reducing your screen resolution makes a difference!
Thanks for your response. Reducing my screen resolution does allow me to do some work, but it is very blurry and I need to keep changing it for working with other applications.
My main concern right now is that I am also hearing from some of my past clients with newer systems that they are now having difficulty viewing previously published Articulate projects. How are other folks dealing with this issue?
I just downloaded SL2 on my new windows 10 laptop and i am experiencing the same issue. I noticed it has been over a year since the issue was raised. Has this issue been resolved? Please, help.
Hello, Mussie. Thanks for reaching out. For the best Storyline 2 experience on a high density display, you'll want to be sure you're using 96 DPI and a screen resolution lower than 2000 pixels in width.

Hi Dave. Yes you should set your monitor to 96 dpi for best results.

Hi Pat,
I just wanted to link to this other thread where it seems you were able to figure out a solution that worked for you on the Mac.

Janet, are your past clients viewing the projects on the Web, in an LMS, or are they opening a project file locally on their computers?
Also, when you say they are having difficulty viewing, can you explain what they're seeing? Are they getting some kind of error message?
