Drag and Drop: Blocked off/hidden drop zones still active?

Feb 07, 2020

Hi,

I'm using the Drag and Drop Freeform for a fill-in-the-blank activity where users drop words (text object) on hotspots that I've used as blanks.

I have enabled the 'one object per drop zone' and kept attempts to 'unlimited' so that users can hit Submit anytime, even before dropping all words.

On Submit, correctly dropped words turn green and are disabled so that they need not be dragged again.

But the problem occurs when users drop other words, accidentally or intentionally, on the green correctly dropped words. The correct answers go back to the 'pick box'.

I've tried to overlap the green words with other objects (shapes and images) but the drop and replace function still works.

I even used shapes and images instead of hotspots and hidden them after the correct words were dropped on it, but unbelievably enough, the function works then too.

Is this how this freeform works or am I doing something wrong? Ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

Hi Yogeesh,

If you've enabled the one object per drop zone option, then it seems the question is working as intended as a second item will replace the first one.
