Normally, when you grab an object, you can move around it within whole player or web browser screen (no matter what size of your assigned Drop Target is) before you drop it.
Is there any possibility to assign Drop Target area that will block an object from further moving?
Just to make sure I'm understanding you correctly, you're wanting to restrict the area where a drop object can be moved, correct? If so, this isn't something I've tried before. I don't believe it's currently possible to do this. You can control how the object acts after it's been dropped, but I don't quite see the benefit of keeping the objected "locked" into a specific area. It may be fun for a user to fly the object around with their mouse for a couple of seconds, but quite honestly I don't see it as something that will interfere with a course.
If this is something you'd like to see added to a future release of Storyline, you're more than welcome to submit a feature request.
Sasha's suggestions in that thread are pretty good I could see that as being pretty extensive work, though. I suppose it depends on the project and the amount of drag objects you have to work with.
In either case, though, I'd love to see a sample of this, if you find a way to accomplish it.

Hi Christine,
You understood me correctly
The reason I am trying to lock an object within a specific area is that I am trying to do panning functionality using Drag and Drop function.
I mentioned this in this thread:

Good luck on the project Adam!
