Drag and Drop in SL
Jun 24, 2020
Hi team,
It's been a while since I've used SL. I've been using Rise so much, but now I need a more interactive slide to import into Rise.
What I'm wanting is to drag box 1 onto chest 1. I've changed the state of box 1 to a smaller image once it's draged onto chest 1 (drag correct). I'm using Hotspots for this. When I do this, the box 1 bounces to the side of the screen (nearly totally off the screen). This works correctly if I haven't changed the state. But I want the 'drop correct state' to be a smaller picture of the original.
I've changed all the 'drop target options' and nothing seems to make it drop in the correct spot. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards
Melissa

If you could attach your .story file here, one of the local sleuths would be able to dig into it, and give you some ideas.
I'm sorry, I've not uploaded here for anything before. What do I publish it to?

Don't publish it. Click the Add Attachment button here. navigate to where your .story file is, and click it. If you don't know where it is, open it in SL, click File, and choose Save As... That will open a dialog box that will show where it is.
Note, you can't attach with a phone, it has to be your browser on your computer.
Thanks. Here it is.
Hi Melissa,
Thanks for sharing the file so that we could take a look.
I was able to see the behavior that you're describing as well as track down the culprit. I think it's best summed up in a visual, so I recorded a quick Peek 360 video to help.
Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Thank you soooo much Leslie. That makes sense. When you don't use these tools for a few months, you really loose it.
Thanks again
