Drag and Drop Interaction in layers

Mar 19, 2019

Hi,

I need help with the attached example. If the user clicks the submit button on the screen, they can just flip through the slide without having to make a selection (drag and drop the 2 blue circles). Is there a way to program it so if they click the "submit" button without dragging and dropping, a pop up will appear to force them to make a selection and then take them back to the base layer once they have dragged and dropped and hit submit? I'm just having a difficult way of trying to program this since it's done in layers. If you can show me how this is done on one of the layers, I can just duplicate it for the others.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Nicole

Hi Nicole,

Do you need to use layers? If you could instead link learners to individual slides, you could use the built-in functionality of a drag and drop interaction to accomplish this. If the learner tried to submit or advance without dropping any items, they'd see an Invalid Answer prompt: a reminder to complete the question.

If you need to stick with layers, I'll leave it to our community to weigh in with their expert advice!
