I have a Storyline drag and drop interaction which requires the user to drag an item to a drop target... Is there a way to allow for two correct answers? For example.. Item A can be placed in either Drop A or Drop B, but not Drop C?
In Form View, add Rectangle 3 and Rectangle 5 in the Drag Item column, and use "None" as the Drop Target. Now all 6 rectangles will be draggable. I hope this helps!
Sorry for the delay. Here is my drag-n-drop example that allows multiple correct targets, but prevents dropping on an incorrect target. I created an equation for stopping distance that users could put in any order.
This above soluction is working fine for me. Except i am facing only one issue. if we place the multiple drags in same drop it is accept so user is lost the drag. Could you have any soluction for this.
Hello Marikannan and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)
I apologize, but I'm not sure that I'm following your question. Could you share an example, in a .story file, of the issue you are facing, so that we can better understand and take a look?
Hi, I'm running into the same issue. I used Rebecca's method - but I only want one object allowed in the dropzones. Is there a way to do this? I've attached my .story file :-)
Rebecca, Love this work around. Quick question, because it's no longer a drag and drop per se where we can have drop target options of not allowing more than one item to be dropped on the same target, how can we work around this. Right now #1 and #2 can be placed on the same target and the second item just covers up the first, rather than causing the first to snap back to it's original location. Any ideas here?

For the other two to be draggable, they have to have attached a trigger (such as change state to Normal) that is fired when they are dragged or dropped, OR they need to be included in the list of objects to be dragged, but given no correct drop target.
Here is a sample that takes care of that problem. It may be overkill, but one of the examples allows placing a second object on a target, and snapping the first one back.

Hi Rebecca,
Thank you very much for sharing this example. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Glad this older thread was able to help you out Sanduni. Thanks for popping in to share.

Thank you so much! Helped me puzzle through a challenge late on a Friday :)
