Drag and drop / matching quiz

Dec 27, 2013

I'm fairly new to Storyline and I'm trying to design a quiz that has 13 statements, but only 3 possible answers. In other words, I want to be able to drag the statements to one of the 3 correct answers-which are pictures. I have made a circle next to each statement to drag on top of the picture, but how do I get it to say that it is right or wrong without submitting? This should happen for each drag and drop instance, not at the very end.  I have not been able to get it to to work, but before I fool around with it any more, is there a better way to do this? I was using the free form option because of the uneven number of questions and answers.

Thanks!

You can set up triggers for each object then use the "object dragged over" action for showing a right/wrong layer.

in this image, the selected triangle has the shown trigger attached. It will show the layer "wrong" when the triangle is dragged over the target object "target" in the trigger.

This will allow you to set up feedback for each of the objects or have two as shown here for right/wrong.

Let me know if you would like a small template for this.
