In this interaction users are to drag the items to one of the correct locations, I've attempted to set up the triggers to allow for the items to be dropped in any one of the 4 correct locations. The only incorrect location being R1 station. No matter where the user drops the icons the correct slide layer is displayed. Any suggestions on overcoming this issue would be much appreciated.
The drag-and-drop functionality can be a bit tricky when dealing with groups. As I’ve looked into your files, I’ve noticed that you’re changing the state of the drop object to either Drop correct or Drop incorrect after dragging into the drop targets. So these built-in states are automatically invoked when the learners have completed the drag-and-drop scenario. As there are no defined correct drop targets in the Form view, these states will not be triggered. Further information about this can be seen in the Drag-and-Drop part of this guide about Built-in States.
What I can recommend is using a custom state as the new conditional parameter to determine the activity results. As a summary, here are some of the things I did in the Triggers panel to make it work.
Used a custom state instead of the built-in states on trigger events for Drag-and-drop scenarios.
Used the Group objects instead of the Diamond as the Drop Object trigger.
Made sure that the Drop targets are consistent among all the triggers.
