Drag and Drop Reset Options

I have a drag and drop quiz slide that contains 4 objects on the left side of the screen that the learner must correctly place onto objects located on the right side of the screen. I allow 2 attempts and ensure that the "Try Again" button sets slide to initial state upon revisit (btw that doesn't work). I want the objects on the slide to automatically return to the left side of the screen when the learner clicks "Try Again". How can I make that happen?

Hi Toni,
By default the drag and drop won't reset the items to their original location, and if you're using the "try again" slide layer set up - you'd need to set it to "jump to slide" that slide and ensure it's set to reset to initial state (the slide property setting isn't going to reset after visiting a layer as it's still connected with that slide).
If you're needing to restrict the number of attempts, you'll need to do this by tracking a custom variable from the try again layer as once the slide is reset the user's overall question attempts will be reset.
Thank you, Ashley. But won't the variables be reset to the original values if I have the learner to come back to the slide? I'm not sure that will restrict the number of attempts.
Nope - the variable won't be reset unless there is a trigger to do so. You may want to check out some older threads such as this one where you can see a few sample files on how to set this up.
