Drag and Drop Snap Issue
Jul 27, 2018
Hey everyone,
I have recently asked a question about video audio playing when not on the layer it is on. While I am waiting on that issue to be resolved, I have another one for you.
I have a panel that the user is "wiring up" for use (drag and drop interaction). Is there a way to establish that only a certain part of the image that is being dragged then dropped has to be on the box? Currently I have a box that highlights where on the panel they need to "plug in the wires". Right now if you drag past the box but the wires are over the box, it takes the image and snaps the image over. I don't want this because it will look like the user is trying to plug them in to the wrong place, but it will accept and snap image over. Hope that makes sense.
Thank you,
Hannah

Some people create hotspots as drop targets and put those over the image. This way you can control the size of the drop target and the hotspot is invisible. That may be a solution that works for you.
