I am using the template for the drag and drop sorting slide. I want my drag items to have more than one acceptable drop location. Is there a way to do this?
You'd need to set up a custom drag and drop interaction and not use the built in version as by default they can only have one drop location. There is some discussion in this thread with an example of how you may want to set it up.
I happened to have a bit of time, so I created, as Ashley suggested, a custom Drag and Drop with 2 correct drop targets. I did it by using a Pick One Quiz.
The 3 draggable rectangles (a square, a "regular rectangle", and a frame shape) have a Drop Correct and a Drop Incorrect state
There are 3 targets: 2 "correct" rectangle targets and a "foil" oval target
Triggers have been set up so that
state of the rectangles are set to Drop Correct if the rectangles are dropped on either of the target rectangles
state of the rectangles are set to Drop Incorrect if the rectangles are dropped on the oval target
Offstage there are 2 buttons name Correct and Incorrect
After converting the slide to a Freeform Pick one, these 2 buttons are selected as the choices and the Correct button is chosen as the Correct choice.
Finally, triggers are set up so that
The correct button state is changed to selected IF all of the rectangles states have been changed to drop correct when the Learner clicks submit. This will display the Correct layer.
The incorrect button state is changed to selected IF any of the rectangles states have been changed to drop incorrect when the Learner clicks submit.. This will display the Incorrect layer.
It's important that these 2 triggers are above the Submit interaction trigger.
