Drag and Drop with custom feedback

Jul 01, 2016

Hi everyone

I've been scouring the forums all morning and haven't been able to find a solution to my problem (albeit I found some threads that came close).  I have created a drag and drop interaction with the goal being that the learner must evaluate 10 items and drop 5 of them into the bag.  I have my course's "narrator" in the corner of the screen and I'd like them to add some feedback when items are dropped into the bag.  I'd like feedback to be different for each item.  I've tried with states, layers and variables but no success!   Also, I'd like the correct items to vanish once placed in the bag.

Any help would be much, much appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Madeleine,

To get the items to disappear when they are dropped in the bag, you can create a new State of Drop Correct, and just remove the item from that state.

As far as having different audio (or text feedback, you can add this to the layers as well) for each drop, you can add audio to each layer, and set a trigger to show this layer when the specific item is in the state of Drop correct. You will need to uncheck the "delay the items drop states until interaction is submitted" in the Drag and drop options.

Attached is your file so you can see the triggers i set up. I only added to the Water bottle and the iPod, but you should be able to go from there.

Let me know if you need anything further!
