Drag and Drop with Layers

I am creating a drag and drop freeform so when the user drags the text to the right picture, a new layer will appear with a definition. I have it working with the layers but for some reason when I click close to close the layer and go back to the base layer, only the photos on the bottom appear. Do you know what is causing this to happen?
I have tired the words as .jpg's and just standard textboxes and I get the same result.

Click Close button missing top items on base layer.

Hmm, I think all you have to do is make sure the "When revisting" properties on your base slide are set to"Reset to initial state"
You can access the properties by clicking the little wheel icon.
If that doesn't work, can you attach the slide in a story file?
Thank you. The revisit did not work but I unchecked hide objects on base layer and they allowed me to see them. I also added a white background on the layer so it hides the base layer while I give them the work definition. Thanks for your help!
