Drag and Drop with multiple answers and grading

Mar 06, 2014

I have been working on a drag and drop exercise where two drag items (in the attached file these are "Drive to work" and "Listen to the audio-book") can be assigned to two different drop items (or steps) interchangebly.

I have succeed, after looking at the posts, to make the feedback layers show up appropriately.

However, even if learner submits the incorrect response, the system is considering the quiz correct and gives credit for the incorrect answer.

I have set the trigger of “Submit interaction drag and drop when user clicks the submit button if Step1Correct is equal to true  and Step2Correct is equal to true and etc.” with the intention that the credit would only be given if all steps are correct.

However, system still gives credit even when the learner submits an incorrect answer.

Any ideas on what I'm missing? Attached is the file to make it easier to understand.

Thank you !

Hi Fulvia and welcome to Heroes!

Thanks for sharing the file here as that is really helpful in terms of looking at your set up. Everything is working correctly for the layers and your states of true, but since the "drag and drop" question itself doesn't have an option for it to be incorrect, it'll always score the 10 points. What you may want to do instead of using the drag/drop question is to use a Pick one question with two offstage elements. You'll want to set the question so that when the state of all your objects is True - object 1 (which you've set to be the correct object) is selected and therefore the question scored correctly. You'll set the reverse for object 2 that when the state of your objects is not equal to true object 2 which is incorrect is selected and therefore no points.
