Drag drop items not moving after reset
Dec 05, 2018
Hi,
I have build a drag and drop question and I am trying to make it possible for the user to retake questions after they're done or they have failed. To do this, I have set my questions to 'Reset to initial state', and I have added a trigger to my result slide that resets the result slide when the user clicks the try again button (with 1 attempt, because we want the user to finish a set of questions before being able to try again). This seems to work for multiple choice questions et cetera, but not for the drag and drop. The items do go back to their initial position, but I am unable to move the items. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have searched this forum for solutions but can only find solutions for multiple attempts consecutive attempts. Thanks!

Hi,
Can you post your Quiz Slide?
Of course Daniel, here it is. Thanks for looking at it.
Hi,
I don't see any issues on your file.
I have added a Results Slide on Slide 2, I tried to go back to the previous slide and I am able to drag the items.
Hi Lize!
Daniel is spot on--since you just sent the one slide, I added a results slide after the drag-and-drop slide. I was able to click Retry Quiz to go back to the slide and try again.
You can test the slide as well by clicking here.
If you're still having trouble, try deleting the results slide and inserting a new one. Then your triggers will be reset, and you'll be able to retry the slide again.
I tried deleting the results slide and inserting it again, that seemed to fix the problem in preview mode but not after a publish. I am going to try exporting it as SCORM and trying it in the LMS - hope it works there! Thanks for looking into it.
I eventually figured it out: I have a 'reset results' trigger on my failure slide, and also a trigger to jump back to the first question. The jump back trigger was executed first, which means the results were never reset.
Ah, yes! Trigger order is important Lize. Thanks for chiming back in with an update.
