Drag items far from the cursor - not able to finish drag and drop exercise

Sep 13, 2018

Hello, I have an issue with freeform drag and drop exercise which I am struggling with. In preview mode and also in the Articulate Review when I do the exercise the first attempt to drag and drop the object sometimes works. Sometimes I have a problem with the drag object not dropping into any place. Second, after dropping it into a drop target 1 let's say I decide to place it into a drop target 2. From this moment the drag item starts to act weird. It goes either back or to random place but when I try to drag it, it appears like 5 - 10 cm further from the cursor, so I am not able to place it to almost any drop target because the cursor can't go "outside of the screen". Any help with this?

Please find attached the .story file.

Many thanks, Simona

Thanks so much for letting us know this is impacting your work, and I apologize for the headaches.

Hello Simona,

I'm excited to let you know that we just released update 23 for Storyline 360! It includes new features and fixes - check them all out here.

Here's the one you will be particularly interested in:

Fixed: In drag-and-drop interactions, drag items didn't always move with your mouse or stay where you dropped them.

Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let me know how you make out!
