drop box links
Nov 12, 2012
Hi I am new to E-learning so this is probably a very basic question. I have placed a published version of a Storyline project in Drop Box and have e-mailed myself a link to test if it would open and play. When I click on the link it shows the story content folder, meta.xml, story.html and story.swf but I cannot get it to simply play the project. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance for any help.

Instead of using Dropbox, you may want to look at using Articulate's tempshare service: http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=d3k1rz8nu2xu
Dropbox is not a very robust web server. Be sure you double-click on the story.html file if you have to use Dropbox.
Kathy,
If you're using Dropbox, make sure you share the story.html file (as Gerry mentions above) by right clicking it and copying the public link. The public link is what would be used to play the project. The folders must be in the Public folder within Dropbox for this to work. Just in case it helps, I have attached a screenshot.
Keepin' the joy,
Patti
