I was looking for a feature in storyline that allows me to create drop-downs in the tool itself. This is for a tool simulation i am creating. While i have used the workarounds, they are not easy to work with. I have hundreds of drop-downs spread across multiple buttons.
I don't think there are any inbuilt feature to do, but you can crate a fast dropdown navigation with some layers and hover trigger, you can find an example attached (15-20 min of work i think).
Thank you for sharing your comments. I have been using the workarounds for quite some time now. I see that drop downs is a much requested feature request from a lot of discussions. Not sure why Storyline is not looking into it. Anyway, could you share with the link for a feature request?

We don't have this feature in Storyline yet but it sounds like Daniel has a workaround!
