Dropped objects, layers, and returning objects to their original location

Hi, folks.

I have a layer with several objects (choices). There are triggers to show different layers when they drop an object on the target. Each layer is set to reset to initial state, but I'm not getting that. I've tried changing the objects' states to hidden. That's okay, but I'd rather have the dropped object show back in the list upon return to that layer.

Nothing I'm doing is moving the object out of the target back to its original position. I can't set convert to a freeform question (because it's on a layer maybe?). I've watched several videos and read several posts on the subject, and the closest I can come to a solution is to use the hidden state. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Thank you, Leslie. What I was hoping to do was have all three choices on layer 4 show still after clicking "Try Again." Right now they're set to to a hidden state. Without that state, they just sit on the hotspot when you click Try Again.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Cheryl! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you (downfall of too many tabs). I took a look at your file and I'm seeing the same behavior, but seems expected as the layer is not really being 'revisited' it is just being viewed again.  I would advise to set this layer up on another slide and you can even utilize a drag and drop slide so that all of the pieces would be built in for you.

If that doesn't work for you, hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and offer additional design assistance.
