Duplicated Text Entry variable

I'm creating a scene of text entry questions that have a number of triggers and timeline objects that need to be included on all the slides. My hope was to just duplicate the slide and then update the variables to reflect the text entry number relevant to each slide. However when I duplicate a slide the text entry variable that is automatically created (eg TextEntry109) remains at that number for all subsequent slides.
Is there a way to prevent this from occurring, so when you duplicate each slide it has its own unique text entry variable?
Thanks

Hi Peter,
When I duplicate a text entry box (such as a data entry field) there is a new variable assigned to it. I did a single text entry on a slide and then duplicated the slide itself and now have four unique variables from "TextEntry" to "TextEntry3".
Can you confirm you're working on local project files and utilizing the latest update of Storyline 2?
Hi Ashley,
I am working locally and have just updated Storyline 2 to the latest version.
I still seem to have the issue, however I have managed to create a workaround.
I have inserted a new text entry freeform quiz slide and copied over the variables and objects off the timeline on the original slide that I require. When I then duplicate this newly created slide it works correctly as you suggest above.
So I'm still not sure why my template slide can't be duplicated, but my workaround is relatively quick.
Thanks for your help,
Peter
Hi Peter,
If you'd like to share a copy of your template slide we can take a look at it. I'm not sure I've used a text entry within a template before, so I'd want to take a look at how you've set it up. You can upload here using the "add attachment" element at the bottom of the reply.
