Duplicating View Step by Step edits for Try and Test modes

Jul 16, 2019

My View mode on a project has numerous adjustments to the action fine tuning. I was wondering if there is a way to duplicate the various adjustments for the Try and Test modes without having to redo them all from scratch.

Thank you in advance for any ideas or suggestions.

Hello, Sam. I'm happy to help!

It sounds like you've got a few View Mode slides that you also need Try and Test Mode versions for, is that right?

If so, we got you covered! Simply open the project that has that recording and click the Record Screen feature. A list of any recordings you made will appear where you can select the View Mode recording that you already created.

From there, the Insert Slides screen will appear:

Modes

Just click the modes you need from that dropdown list. You can specify which scene you want to insert them into and give the scenes a name.

Let me know if that helps, or if I'm off-base!

Not quite. What i mean is more on the fine tuning side. As an example, if i have adjusted timing on a slide so a button isn't highlighted at the start of the screen recording section in View mode. Is there a way that all of these saved adjustments can be carried over when I then create the Try and Test scenes.

I am just trying to see if i don't have to repeat the fine tuning adjustments each time. The same for instructions/hints.

Hi Sam!

If the slides are identical, then you could make the changes to one slide and duplicate it. Then you wouldn't need to reproduce those steps multiple times. Although, you would need to add in a testing element which is an easy fix using a "convert to freeform" option.

Does that help answer your question?
