duration time sheet

Aug 10, 2017

I don't know, but I have the idea, that my sheets take 10 seconds or more before you can click on the button next sheet.

Is there an option to maken this duration longer or shorter? Why, because when you follow the course it is okay that it takes time before you can click on next. But when you look forwards and backwards, it takes an huge time, that is not funny.

Hey Patricia!

Your slide length is controlled by the timeline here in Slide View:

If you'd like to shorten or lengthen that, you can do so by clicking the end of the timeline and dragging it:

If you'd rather keep the slide length, but allow your users to be able to navigate through without having to wait for the timeline to end- In Story View, set the slides to Advance By User:

That way the user can control how long they stay on each slide.

Hope that's helpful-- let me know if you have any questions! 😊

Well, I see that it is already set as: Slide advances, By user.

When revisiting: automatically decide.

But do I understand well, that if the time line is still 5 seconds, that the user always has to wait at least 5 seconds before the can click on the button next sheet? Or is the computer that slow (when I launch the course in scorm of storyline3 in moodle)?

Hey Patricia!

If you have the slides set to advance by user, then your learners should be able to click the next button whenever they choose- unless you've set up triggers to disable it temporarily

Try uploading your course to SCORM Cloud to see if the same behavior happens there. That'll give a good indication of whether it's file related or something happening in your LMS.

You're also welcome to share your unpublished .story file here and I'd be happy to take a look at it! You can add it as an attachment right to a comment.
