Dymo Label Writer output via Javascript
Aug 08, 2017
Has anyone managed to use a label printer with Articulate Storyline?
I'm looking to create a button that will allow the user to generate an output on course completion. This will then create a course completion sticker / badge via a Dymo Label printer (Label Writer 450).
I've seen that Dymo offer a Javascript SDK / Framework however this is all new to me and I'm not sure where to start.
They offer examples with HTML forms along with an accompanying Javascript file but I want to avoid using the HTML of possible.
I would like the user to click the button, Activate the Javascript trigger and produce the output. I don't want to have to open a HTML page before printing if possible.
Any thoughts or experiences?

I've attached the example HTML and JS files.

Best to probably reach out to javascript developers to help you with your script work via Contact Me. The PrintLabel.js code is a bit complex and needs to create its own XML page dynamically for things to work, which isn't trivial to get working w/SL
