Dynamic results meter with a lot of increments

May 08, 2019

Hi! First thanks so much to this community and all the existing discussions on building dynamic result meters! I have built some for a quiz and they working quite well.

I want to show more incremental results though and would love others opinion on the best plan of attack for this. Currently I have this built with states and have chunked the results in groups of 5. I could of course build 26 states for each of the 3 graphs and set the relevant triggers for each one, but that seems like too many states and triggers in one place. Would that be bad practice? Should I leverage java script for it?

The working draft of the quiz is here. And a preview of the draft results page is attached as well as the draft SL file. I appreciate all thoughts and suggestions. Thanks!

Try using sliders

1. Make the figures transparent, with a white background (I used paint.net). This covers all of the slider, except the part that shows through the figures.

2 Use a large block of plain color for the thumb fill and white for the track fill.

3 Set the sliders to access your three variables.

4. Edit the states of the three ranges, deleting the graphics, and leaving the text. (I didn't do this yet)
