ECG training for RNs using eCalipers

May 03, 2021

Hey everyone! I was hoping to find some help within the community.

I have been tasked with designing an eLearning solution to teach RNs the basics of reading ECG rhythms. The nurse educators are hoping to have the new RNs practice part of this by using eCalipers to measure the waves. My questions are:

- Has anyone every built this in Storyline? Either with or without eCalipers?

- If yes, did you design the eCalipers yourself or did you use a 3rd party application for the eCalipers?

Any information that can be provided would be super helpful! Thanks all!

Hi Tyler,

Happy to help. I believe this has been previously done before. As per the thread this can be done using two slides and mathematical computation to make the ecalipers accurate. You may want to check the thread. You can also see in the comment section that there is also a .story file that you may want to try to see how it can be done.

Here is the thread: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/creating-electronic-calipers

I hope this helps. :)
