I added a record screen and was able to modify the hotspot captions in the step by step view mode. When I add the same screen to try mode it changes all my captions back to the default. Is there a way to change/edit those captions in the try mode or test mode?
Hi, Justine: From what I can tell, Storyline creates a new version of the recording when you insert it into a different format (i.e view mode vs. try mode). So you may have to reformat your hint captions when you try a different mode, unless someone sees something I don't. --Daniel
When you insert the screen recording again, all the initial captions are inserted as well (these were created based on your recording and what you clicked on). You'd need to edit the hint captions again within try/test mode and those captions appear on layers for each slide.

Thank you, where do you go to reformat the hint captions? I'm very new to this software.
