Unfortunately there is no way to edit a published version of a course.I've heard it put this way before ...it's like trying to take a fully baked cake, and go back in to change the amount of flour you used.
It's caused quite a few headaches for our group and has resulted in complete rebuilds.
Thanks for reaching out! You'll need access to the original .story project file to make edits to the content. Let me know if you have any further questions!
Glad to hear you were able to find an option that works for you, and just a reminder that the modifications to the published output wouldn't be supported.
Totally understand that its not supported, however, it would be nice if they would say "it may be possible, but we don't support it" instead of not telling the whole truth. Those small words can save someone A LOT of headache. Just sayin!
Hi Tina!
Sorry to cause more of a headache, but since it's not something we support
it's even harder to say if it's possible. I've seen the community do a lot
of creative things with the published output, and if you've got the
programming knowledge I'd say pretty much anything is possible.
Please can you share with me how you made this modification? I have the exact issue, and I am not a XML expert, but bottom line, I need to make additions to a training program.

Sorry for the bad news!
Oh no... not the answer I was looking for. Thanks for the quick response.
Tye
Is this still not possible? You would figure since its html5 that one should be able to go in and edit?
Sorry, the cake is still baked.

Thanks guys, but I did figure out how to make changes within the XML files.

Hope you have a great holiday!

Best regards,
Ola.
I went into the xml files and made the text changes I needed. I used ctrl + f to find the text I was looking for and made the adjustments
Thanks Tina, so if I want to add just a tab and an extension to that file,
how do you suggest I do it? Note, I am not a guru in HTML.
