Edit Review Slide in Storyline 3

Nov 07, 2017

I've searched the forum without finding an answer yet. How do I edit the properties of the Review slide? As you can see, the slide has a dark background, and I simply need to change the test to white.

Hi Digitech,

The review slide is generated automatically and is hidden by default. It will be based on your base question slide. If you need to add other elements to the review layer, take a look at your question in Form View and at the bottom you'll see a section for Post Quiz Review anything you add there will generate a new layer that'll be accessible to you on that slide and you can make edits.

Thanks, Ashley, but not quite what I was trying to get at. I am able to edit elements of the review slide through the post-quiz review layer. However, in this case, which is a fill-in-the-blank question with ten acceptable responses, the review slide brings up the list of acceptable responses, but I do not see a way to get at the properties to change the way they are displayed.

Ah, thanks for clarifying! Yes, the fill in the blank question type automatically generates the answer list and displays it there. There currently isn't a way to change how that's formatted or it's placement.

If you needed to display custom elements, you could create a custom review layer to do so. The acceptable answers may still be shown in addition to that layer (something our team is looking into) so if you choose to go that route, you'll want to set the custom layers background to a solid fill so that those items don't show through.

Hi Ashley,

I want to do the same but still can't find a way to format the review slide.

For example, in multiple response questions, the tick marks that appear next to correct choices on a results slide are quite small. It would be nice to resize that.

I also can't find a way to edit the banner that says "incorrect answer" in the bottom.

Are these indeed still the same or can they be customised now?

Hi Miguel,

The review slides are still generated from your quiz and graphic elements like the tick marks and banner aren't editable. This option does sound like a great idea for a feature request! You can submit one here, and if it makes it into our feature roadmap, we’ll make sure to update you!

Thanks for reaching out!
