I made a portal demo with Storyline's Recording Screen, I need to edit the background but cant find any way to do that, or at least couldnt find a way to paste a background on the slide?
In Captivate, the screen editing is done with Pasting a new image which is perfect option
Are you hoping to edit the background of your video, or the slide itself? When you right-click on the slide background, you should be given the option to Format Background. Are you seeing that?
Sorry for not being more detailed It sounds like you want to use an image from a file as your background image. So you'll want to use the right-click method, then select Fill > Picture or texture fill > Insert from: File. You can then tweek it to adjust it however you like.
If I record screens then insert it as Slide by slide not video, and in any slide, I can not change the background! In captivate for example, you can Copy the captured screen background to the clipboard, edit it, then paste it back as a background?
