Thank you for your response. After following the instructions, it still does not allow me to edit the template after I've inserted it into a new slide. I'm using the Flat Design Template.
I am facing some problem in editing the free templates provided by articulate. I have downloaded 'Slide Out Progress Panel' from the 10_Storyline_Navigation_Templates_Megapack under free download. When I open the file, it does not give me the option of editing it. I can just add triggers but can't edit the text or the character.
The characters in this example here are on the slide masters, so that's where you'd need to look at editing them. If that's not the example you're referring to, could you upload a copy of the .story file here for us?
Hi, I'm really running into an issue with the slots template. It wont allow me to edit the text, but it allows me to change the font. I'd like to include it in a module I'm developing on Rise, but it wont work. Could I ask that you take a look at the file and give me some steps to get it to work correctly? Thank you so much!
Simply drag the text box (Rectangle 1) from the bottom of the timeline to the top of the timeline. Then, you can edit the text within the text box. Let me know if that's helpful!

Hi Pamela and welcome to Heroes!
Once you insert the template slides into a Storyline file you'll be able to edit them as if they were regular slides. You'll want to follow the steps here to use a template within Storyline and then to save it as a .storytemplate if you need to use it again or share with others.

Hi Pamela,
When using that template I saw Tim posted in the original download section that all the elements were locked on the timeline, you'll need to unlock them before continuing.
