Edit Training after Publishing
Feb 02, 2018
Hi everyone
I recently was informed that on one of our trainings, one of the "slides" is not showing. With that said I need to go into the published training and edit that particular "slide". Looking at previous threads, it says that you have to open up the source file, without the source file it cannot be edited. I have a silly question but where exactly is that source file stored? When I publish my trainings in Storyline I hit Publish - Web and save all the files into our server, but when I open up Storyline and browse for those files they are not there. Was there a special button I should have checked when I published my trainings? Thank you so much!

Hi Priscilla,
You will need your Storyline source or project file to be able to edit an already published course. Unfortunately, the published files do not include the project file.
One way to find your project file is to search for “.story” files in your computer.
Thank you!
Renson,
I forgot to ask, and silly question - how do you save project files. So again after I am done with training I go in and publish it, where do I go to ensure the project files are saved locally
Hi Priscilla,
No problem. You can either click on the save button or go to the File tab then choose either "Save" or "Save As". You can refer to the screenshot below, I've highlighted the three options.
Thank You
