Edited text using HTML, now text spacing is off

Hello fellow heroes! In my organization, a learner recently reported an error in a Storyline course on our LMS. Unfortunately, we no longer have access to the source file for this course. Since the course is on our LMS, we have the zipped, exported course file. I edited the HTML using this exported file and was able to successfully change the text. (Huge win!) Upon testing the newly edited text on our LMS, it appears that the spacing between the letters I edited is now off. Some of the letters overlap while others simply have an extra space added. I've attached a snippet from the quiz question where this change was made. I'll appreciate any help/advice you might provide. Thank you!
