Editing Audio in storyline

Jan 07, 2013

I am trying ot edit my audio recording in storyline. When I go into the Articulate Audio editor I am able to delete the piece I want to and add in a new clip where I need it, but I when i hit save and close it doesn't insert the new recording into the slide and the project. Yet when I click on audio edito is has the new recording. It makes absolutley no sense.

Hi Shelly,

I agree, that does sound strange. First thing I would check is the location of the files you're working with. Make sure that your project files and audio files are all local.

Here's some more information:

If you are experiencing unexpected issues using Articulate software, here are some tips for managing your files which can help prevent issues.

1.  Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.

2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).

3.  Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.
