I've created a custom template for my team to use but I want to go back in and add a few more slide variants. However when I click the template it just wants to import for use. How do I edit my existing template?
That's a great question! If you want to make a change to a custom template, you'll want to open the template as you mentioned and import the slides into a new Storyline project.
After making the changes, click File >> Save As. Use the same name as the original template. Then use the Save as type drop-down to choose Storyline Template (*.storytemplate).
This process will overwrite your original template with the updated template.
One thing to keep in mind: if your team has already used the original template in a Storyline file, those files will not automatically update with the changes you made to the template.
Your team will need to re-import the edited slides for those changes to appear. I hope that helps answer your question!
