Editing image so it shows within circle shape

Hi,
Can someone help me with the steps to layer and edit a character image within a circle shape in Storyline? I know it is possible, but can't seem to get the layers right so that the character is cropped appropriately inside the circle. Obviously, I can do this with a square easily enough, but I want it in a circle.
I will try to attach a picture of the character image and the circle, so you can see what I'm trying to do and how part of the character image is below the circle.
Layered Images so far: background image, picture of character, circle shape.
Thanks,
Anna

Glad that this was able to assist you here Laurie :) Thanks for popping in to share.
Hi Diana,
The latest link to this screener is no longer active. Any chance you´d be willing to repost?
Thank you in advance!
Hmmm... dropbox is not my friend... Here's a new link to the same Screenr - let me know if I can help.
Thank you sooo very much Diana! I truly appreciate it.

Hi Diana,
I have tried to use all links from the Dropbox, as mentioned above, but I keep running into the 404 not found error. Is it possible you still have that file somewhere? I would love to be able to follow the steps! I've been having problems aligning the circle to the 1:1 ratio (doesn't seem to be a feature available in Articulate, just PowerPoint).
Thank you for your assistance.
Regards,
Victoria
Hi Victoria,
If you go back to the first page of comments, I see the .story file added here (not via Dropbox) are you able to open that?
Also, I saw the video is linked within Amazon S3 and that played back for me here.
years after the original post and I just came across this.
saves me doing this in Photoshop! thanks!
It would be very nice to crop characters to aspect ratio and to shape in storyline like you do in PowerPoint. Then the characters would have editable expressions -
Hi Mark and Erika!
That is one of the many reasons this community is simply the best, and filled with great resources!
Erika, that's a good point but I could see where the quality of the image could be tarnished. Have you tried Diana's method?
Yes - and I've done it successfully, however it requires the use of multiple programs. Storyline already has so many image formatting tools, I think crop to ratio and crop to shape would be good additions.

Hi Erika,
Thanks for sharing those ideas! I’ll be happy to pass your thoughts on to our product team, but you can also feel free to detail them more through a feature request!
By the way, it looks like you may have replied by email where your contact information came through. This Peek video will show you how to edit it out if you’d like!
Diana, I tried to use your link but I wasn't able to see the video. Can you repost the link?

Hey Ashley - I had to do a little housekeeping... here's the updated video link: http://s3.amazonaws.com/DMyersE-HeroesItems/Picture_in_Circle_Shape_Video.mp4
Hi Marie - Sorry, I didn't realize the dropbox file wasn't working, so thanks for reaching out. I've updated the links in my posts, so they should all point to the correct video file. Let me know if I can help in any other way.
Quick question about cropping photos. How do I delete the cropped part of the photos to reduce the file size of my project?
Hi Doug,
A project file might not immediately shrink in size when you 'delete' items. Storyline keeps deleted assets temporarily after you delete them in case you need to click Undo to restore them. The good news is your project file will eventually shrink, usually after saving it a couple of times. But you can also get it to shrink right away by saving and closing the project file, then re-opening it and saving it again.
