When creating a trigger to Action: Lightbox Slide, the slide you choose is auto formatted to have a small red "X" button in the upper right corner of that slide. How do I delete that button, as I want to create my own trigger to close the lightbox?
Still not a feature to update the Red x associated with the lightbox slide. As for if folks were able to change it in the program files itself, I'll defer to the community on that as I can't offer support for it.
If it isn't for too many slides, you can copy everything on a slide onto a layer, and shrink them and make your own fake "Lightbox". Change the color of the "X", and nobody has to know it isn't a real lightbox.
I know how to make the "fake lightbox", but it's really not a good solution for the project I'm working on, since I have wayyyy too many slides.
I've also used the Slide Master with a popup for some other information, but my "help" icon (which is what I'm using the lightbox slide for) has to be in the player, as per previous courses with produced for this client.
The lightbox is a set size based on your story size and the overall scaling/size settings you use for publish as Michael detailed here. Here is a video tutorial on creating a custom lightbox (for Storyline 1 - but same principles could be used in Storyline 2) so you may want to utilize that if you're looking for a better sizing.
I'm checking in to see if there's a way to customize that red X to close the lightbox yet. If not, can you please see if there's a way to include it in your next update. It's a turnoff for clients.
The lightbox is still pretty standard. Have you considered using a layer as Walt mentioned above? That's how I like to create a totally custom 'lightbox'.

There is currently no option to customize the appearance (incl. the close button) of a lightbox.
Really? It seems rather odd that that is not a standard customizable tool. Are there plans to add this function in the future?
Hi Kim,
You can request it, but Articulate never publish plans on what is going to be built into updates.

Hi Kim! Looks like Michael and Bruce have you covered here.
Hi everyone!
Did anyone find a work around ever since? Is there a way to change the image in the Program files or something like that?
It would be really appreciated to at least set it to a neutral color. I have some clients allergic to Red. ;)
Thanks a lot!

Does anyone happen to know how to reduce the size of a lightbox? Making the background transparent doesn't work.

Hello Aronya and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

Hopefully that will work for you as well :)
