Editing the Review Quiz screens
Dec 11, 2013
Hi, I have a course that was started by someone else. I would like to edit the way the screens look when a learner reviews the quiz after completing it.
Currently, the system generated "Correct/Incorrect" bar appears at the bottom of the screen. My understanding is that I cannot remove that bar (and covering it is not an option due to the setup of the background).
In addition to this bar however, it also shows the custom feedback box that appear throughout the quiz that tell a learner if they answered a given question correctly or incorrectly.
The result is that when reviewing the quiz, there are two screen elements telling the learner they are correct/incorrect. I would like to remove the custom feedback box during the quiz review, but cannot figure out how to do this. In the Feedback Layer, the layer that says "Review Feedback Layer," says it is not used by any slides.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
So very many thanks in advance!

Hi Kristen,
I can't quite picture what is happening... would it be possible to upload the file or a sample? It might be something as simple as a setting on each Quiz slide, but I'm not sure.
Hi Julia,
Thank you. Attached is a screenshot.
Thank you.

Hi Kristen,
I believe the reason that feedback box is showing up, is probably because you have information in that portion of your quiz slide. So, if you are looking at a quiz question and then click the Edit button in the top right of the screen, it will open the question editor screen. At the bottom of the question editor there is a section labelled "Set Feedback and Branching". Make sure that the last item in that section, "Post Quiz Review" is blank.
Hi Julia,
Thank you. I have confirmed that the Post Quiz Review content is blank. Could something else control this behavior?
Hi Kristin. Yes, I think the behavior could be coming from somewhere else. It might be affected by some of the settings at the top of the question editor panel, such as Feedback. Do you have any other triggers on the question slide? On Slide Properties, what is the slide's When Revisiting behavior set to? It would be really helpful if you could upload a sample file.
Hi Julia, Thank you again. There aren't any triggers on the slide. The revisiting behavior is automatic. I ended up covering up the system generated message. I thought I wouldn't be able to get a good match with the patterned background, but it looks seemless. Thank you again!
Hi Kristin,
I'm glad you were able to find a way around it. I'm sorry I couldn't think of anything to help. Eventually it would be good to know what is causing the problem, so you don't have to cover up anything. Extra steps like that are a pain.
If I run into the issue myself, perhaps I'll be able to update the thread here with more information.
Best wishes,
Julia
Hi Kristin,
I'm glad that you've gotten a workaround that will fit for your needs, but if you ever need us to take a look at your file, please don't hesitate to share it here in the forums or by sending it along to our Support team.
