I am really new with storyline so sorry for my questions..
I recorded a video inside Storyline and I would like to add some captions in it in order to explain the learners giving in particular moments some details or inserting a slide before the video starts or giving a zoom effect.
You could work around this by snapping your own screenshot and then inserting that into the slide. Just send it to the back and the caption and mouse click will still work as desired.

Silvia,
After recording, you can accomplish this by using the Step-by-Step option. For example, if you select
view mode and then view mode options, you can select the Insert Captions option. Then, once the video
is inserted, you can use the Zoom Region tool to add zoom effects on the timeline.
I hope this helps! If not, let me know and we an keep problem solving.
What if, after using the step-by-step option I want to edit one of the screens in the series?
I know in other applications I can export the screen, edit the shot, and then bring it back into the screen recording.
Jona,
You can edit each screen right in the program. After you select step by step and insert, go to that slide and alter as you'd like!

I saw on this page http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/editing-screen-recordings.aspx that you do have options.. but if I need to edit the screen shot in the step-by-step I can't take it out and update the shot it seems.
Jona,
That is correct. Sorry, I misunderstood.
One potential workaround for you...
